REIMAGINING MULTILATERALISM: A DIALOGUE WITH UN SECRETARY-GENERAL CANDIDATES
Date: 25 June 2026 (Thursday)
Time: 13:30–15:00 (KST)
Venue: Grand Ballroom AB, Haevichi Hotel & Resort Jeju, Republic of Korea
Overview
The United Nations stands at a critical juncture, facing a wide range of complex and interrelated challenges, including geopolitical fragmentation, declining trust in multilateral institutions, and mounting global crises that demand collective action.
In this context, the role of the Secretary-General is more important than ever. The selection of the next Secretary-General will not only shape the future direction of the United Nations, but also have far-reaching implications for the broader multilateral system.
Building on the dialogue with Secretary-General candidates held in Geneva on 9 June, this session will offer a valuable opportunity to timely engage with the candidates and exchange views on key priorities, challenges, and visions for the future of international cooperation.
