Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago

Ambassador Seijoong Kwon paid a courtesy call on the Hon. Pennelope Beckles, Leader of the Opposition, on Thursday, June 25. During the meeting, they exchanged views on a wide range of areas, including Ambassador Kwon’s achievements since assuming his post, the shared values between the Republic of Korea and Trinidad and Tobago, climate change, digital transformation, tourism promotion, agricultural cooperation, food security, and smart cities.

The Leader of the Opposition commended the Republic of Korea as a leading country in areas such as maritime affairs, smart cities, and cybersecurity, and expressed her hope that Korea’s experience and expertise in these fields would be shared broadly with Trinidad and Tobago.

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea recognizes the leadership and role of the Leader of the Opposition, who has contributed significantly to the development of her country, and sincerely wishes her continued success and good health.
